How to import your Strava or Garmin history into NomadTracks
Your recorded years belong to you, not to a platform. Both Strava and Garmin offer full data exports — and NomadTracks imports GPX with timestamps, elevation and names intact, so your history lands in a private library that syncs through your own iCloud.
Export from Strava
On strava.com: Settings → My Account → Download or Delete Your Account → Download Request. Strava emails you an archive with all activities. Individual activities can also be exported one by one via ⋯ → Export GPX on the activity page.
Export from Garmin Connect
On connect.garmin.com: open an activity → gear icon → Export to GPX. For a full bulk export use Account → Data Management → Export Your Data.
Convert FIT files if needed
Bulk archives may contain .fit files instead of GPX. Free converters (e.g. GPSBabel on a computer, or fit2gpx tools) turn them into GPX — elevation and timestamps survive the conversion.
Import into NomadTracks
AirDrop the GPX files to your iPhone or put them in iCloud Drive, then Share → NomadTracks or import from the Tracks tab. Multiple files import in one go.
Organize the history
Create folders by year or region, recolor imported tracks to tell them apart from new recordings, and everything syncs to your other devices. From here on, your originals live with you.
